 Watch Minds on the Edge

Overview:

The 2010 symposium was entitled Perspectives on Mental Illness: Seldom Heard Stories.  It helped foster an open dialogue among a broad range of health care professionals, school personnel, law enforcement officials, as well as consumers of mental health services and their families.

This educational event presented concepts regarding the state of behavioral health care from the perspective of the consumer, professional provider, and the family member.  Individual presentations were followed by a moderated panel discussion.
A review of current research and consensus based findings, along with recent treatment options was also presented.
