Dr. Frank Farley is an internationally recognized authority in psychology and human behavior. He is the former president, of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Farley is currently the L. H. Carnell Professor at Temple University. He teaches research design among other topics, and before that was at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was born and raised in Canada, where he received both his Bachelors and Masters from the University of Saskachewan. Dr. Farley received his doctorate in Psychology from the University of London in England.
He is a Fellow of APA, American Association for the Advancement of Science, New York Academy of Sciences, and is one of the founders of The Federation of Behavioral, Psychological and Cognitive Sciences. His scholarship examines extreme behavior, including creative risk-taking, arguing for its centrality in the success of science and societies. He is articulate and experienced in working with the media, including Time, Newsweek, U.S. News, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Business Week, Today Show, 20/20, Good Morning America, 48 Hours, CNN, FOX, PBS Newshour, Discovery, A & E, NPR, Leeza, and others.
